Al-Jihad - Sermon Delivered in Sydney on 9/4/10


A powerful khutbah given by Ahlul Qalam in Sydney, Australia on the obligation of Al-Jihad in the Islamic lands and providing evidences from the Quran and Sunnah.

This is an uncompromising sermon and may Allah (swt) defeat all those who wish to extinguish His (swt) light.

How much hikmah is there to be talking about this stuff on University campus?

^ Quite a LOT actually. Seeing as though there will be no ramifications worth worrying about, and the fact that it is obligatory :)

had it been a mosque in egypt where you would be put in a torture cell a few mins after, then yes, perhaps the hikmah of it could be questioned in the interests of self preservation. But at a uni in australia where this is upheld as a benefit of freedom of speech?
Heh, what MORE hikmah could there be than to use the given platform?

ar-Razi said: “What is meant by hikmah is either knowledge, or doing that which is correct.” [‘Tafsir ar-Razi’; 7/67]

“Hikmah is to do that which needs to be done, in the manner in which it needs to be done, at the time in which it needs to be done.” [‘Madarij as-Salikin’; 2/479]

If it is not hikmah to talk about the solution to occuption in a time when the muslims are being occuoied then when is the right time?

Ibn Hajar said, in regards to the hadith of Ibn ‘Abbas, that the Messenger of Allah said: “O Allah! Teach him the hikmah!”: “And there is a difference of opinion in regards to the meaning of hikmah here. So, it was said that it is: correctness in speech; understanding of Allah; that whose correctness is confirmed by logic; the light that distinguishes between inspiration and devilish whispers; quickness in answering correctly; and some of them explained hikmah here to mean the Qur’an.” [‘Fath al-Bari’; 7/100]

Hikmah, certainly is not to question saying the truth.
